The Texas Medical Association chose gender ideology over evidence-based care

I proposed two resolutions to put medicine over activism. Both failed.
The Texas Medical Association, which Texans look to for medical guidance, has allowed activists to weaken its commitment to the best possible health care. I witnessed this capitulation firsthand at the TMA’s annual meeting on May 3 and 4.
As a longtime member, I know the association is supposed to unite all medical specialties around the common goal of improving Texans’ health. I wanted to ensure the association continues to do that, respecting evidence-based medicine and encouraging physicians to speak freely about the best way to help patients. So I introduced two resolutions for my fellow delegates’ consideration.
