Vic Bernson

Vice President of Policy and General Counsel

Vic Bernson serves as Do No Harm’s vice president of policy and general counsel, where he combines policy and legal efforts to combat divisive, unscientific practices in medicine.

He is passionate about ending the indefensible sacrifice of merit and professional competence on the altar of unconstitutional “anti-racist” nonsense. Vic is also totally dedicated to stopping the despicable targeting of children by radicals who push irreversible, life-altering experimental treatments in furtherance of their sinister gender ideology. Just twenty-five years ago it was inconceivable that such madness would one day overtake much of the medical profession, but here we are today and so Vic is determined to confront and defeat these outrages against both evidence-based science and common sense.

Vic’s career is marked by nearly 40 years of professional experience advancing the eternal principles of truth and justice, including more than a decade as a U.S. Naval Officer; over 9 years of service in the Department of Justice, the Pentagon, and the White House—the last two as political appointees in the George W. Bush Administration; and two decades of General Counsel work, including the last 12 years at the national non-profits Americans for Prosperity and Young America’s Foundation where he initiated dozens of winning cases against the university DEI racket.

When he’s not working, Vic enjoys traveling (60 countries and 49 states so far), long nature walks, capybara videos on Instagram, and collecting and enjoying great books and even better wine. He and wife, Helena, have been married for 36 years and live with their always entertaining mutt, Carlos, in lovely East Greenwich, Rhode Island. They have two children, Alexandra (35) and Bobby (33), both happily married, as well as a new grandson, Anthony, who was born on July 4, 2024.
